Real name is Margaret Ogden. Also writes under the name of Megan Lindholm. Writes fantasy novels. She has written a number of novel as Megan Lindholm which did not sell well, but the Farseer trilogy as Robin Hobb seems successful. She deserves it. A very good writer.

- I have read the first two volumes in the series and have been very impressed. Interesting story of a young "prince" born the wrong side of the sheets, who becomes an assassin for his king. The kingdom is under attack from Red Ship Raiders who "Forge" the people at the villages they raid, leaving them without morals and feral.

3. The Ship of Destiny

- New fantasy series set in the same world as "The Farseer Trilogy".If three generations of a family die on a ship made out of magical wood, then it is "quickened" into life.
